Wood Tectonics is proud to announce the addition of a photo gallery to our website, which was revamped in January. Take a look at some examples of our work–we hope it will give you some ideas for your next project.

Here is an additional example of products we can make using the CNC Router.  These custom window casings were manufactured based on the window manufacturer’s specifications, and fit perfectly in the field…600 miles away.

Note the interlocking joint behind the key block—this technique adds glue surface and keeps the unit in a perfect radius.

One of the specialties of Wood Tectonics is that we can offer standard or custom molding profiles on radius – either over an arched doorway or around a concave or convex wall. One of the key tools we use to make this happen is our CNC Router. While some manufacturers use a CNC simply as a way to automate production, Wood Tectonics combines the precision and accuracy of the CNC with the knowledge of our craftsmen to create truly impressive products.

Attached are a few pictures showing the CNC in action—in this case the two halves of our ‘puzzle’ fit together perfectly.

This technique would be virtually impossible with simpler tools like a bandsaw. The materials are MDF and PVC, although we use the Router with all wood species.
